Today is the 175 Anniversary of the Battle of Miani fought between British forces under Sir Charles Napier and the Talpur Amirs of Sindh. The Battle took place on 17 February 1843 at Miani, Sindh.
February 18th 1843 is the Day when the Talpurs fought the British at Miani near Hyderabad. In it more than 6000 Baloch died and among them were Mir Jan Mohammad Shaheed, Mir Ghulam Shah Shaheed of Tando Jam. Mir Ghulam Shah Shaheed of Tando Mohammad Khan.
Talpurs lost 6000 men and British 256.
The Historians here tend to disregard the Talpurs and Baloch who died at Miani on the 18th February 1843.
