the Famous King Edward Medical college was founded as Lahore medical school in 1860 and it was completed in 1867. The First batch was pass out in 1864. The First student who cleared his course was Dr. John Andrews in 1864. This building is still serving the humanity. Every year 220 student get their admission there. From 2006 it has been updated to University. In 19s after the charity and donation from King Edward its name was changed to King Edward Medical college. It produced many gems like Dr. Ameer Ud Din. Dr. Col. Shafiq Ur Rehman. Dr. Zafar Haider Bukhari. Dr. Roger Hanif Ahmed. Dr. Ayub khan ommaya. Dr. israr ahmed. Dr. Khwaja sadiq hussain and Dr. Enver sajjad Ali.
In 2020 it has completed its 160 yrs from the day it was founded. Building still in a good shape even after 160 years. Its a charismatic state of art building. Which attracts everyone due to its white colour and state of the art arches and dome. Proud to be kemcolian. The cream of pakistan always comes there for admission. This is the place where dreams are born and time is never planned.
